I’m fortunate to have worked at Golden Age for many years. The owners are great and we have a dedicated and talented administrative team. We all love what we do and we take pride in making Golden Age a great facility for the residents. Golden Age is always for the resident – it’s all about what the residents need.
My mother has lived here since 2010 and loves it. Golden Age is a beautiful facility and a pleasant, clean home environment for my mom. The staff are very respectful. They take care of all her needs with loving care. It’s heartwarming to see all the residents interacting with the preschoolers here, and I love watching my mother smile and laugh with the children.

My mom receives the best care at Golden Age. The facility is very clean and she loves living here. The staff treat her very well, the nurses keep me informed about her medical needs, and they transport her to the doctor which is a great convenience for me. All this help makes me feel really good because I never have to worry about her care. I would recommend Golden Age to anybody and my mom would too!
I was born and raised in Guthrie. I wanted to move to Golden Age two years ago to be around other older people like me -- to socialize and participate in activities. Golden Age offers activities that interest ALL of us, not just some of us, and the staff assist me to get to each activity. All the residents here are like family – I like to visit with them, have conversation, and make new friends. The owners are great and they treat the residents wonderfully.
I feel honored to be an employee of Golden Age. We all try to make this facility a “home away from home” for the residents. All of us, starting with the Administrator and throughout the staff, treat the residents with love, and if there is an issue, we take care of it promptly. When I had some medical needs in 2015, I became a patient of Golden Age. Everyone took such good care of me, the physical therapy was great, and the staff frequently checked on me to make sure I was getting lots of love, prayers and encouragement to keep my spirits up.
I like living here because the nurses and staff are so kind to all of us, and they seem to be sincerely interested in every resident’s needs. When I came here two years ago, I was really impressed with the appearance and cleanliness of the facility. Since then, they’ve done a wonderful job of updating the décor and everything without disruption to the residents. This place has all that you would expect from a normal nursing home, plus a whole lot more that you would expect to see in a fine home. The food is beyond my expectations and they change the menu regularly. I highly recommend Golden Age.
My preschool son looks forward to the daily visits with the “grandmas”, “grandpas” and staff. I love that he can learn and have everyday experiences that he is not otherwise exposed to. The best memory I have is when he told me all he has to do is smile and say hello to make others happy. It is even better to watch him do so in person! We are blessed to have our son gain friendships and memories at Golden Age.
The Inter-Generational Pre-K Program is such a blessing. My twin boys have learned so much more than a standard school setting could give them, including empathy, compassion and love. From the teachers, to the staff, to the residents – everyone here is shaping my boys and these preschool kids into the caring adults they will become!
The Inter-Generational Pre-K is, by far, the most amazing program I have ever been involved in! This is my 21st year as a preschool teacher, and my fourth year to teach in this type of setting. The essence of our program is captured in a saying that is very close to my heart: “Children are the rainbow of life. Grandchildren are the pot of gold.” When my students make their presence known, the room lights up with life, love and energy. Our pot of gold shines bright here at Golden Age and offers joy, life, love and hope for a new tomorrow.
