Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award

Golden Age Nursing Facility was recognized as a 2017 recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award for its dedication to improving the lives of residents through quality care. The distinction is one of three progressive award levels through the National Quality Award Program, presented by the American Health Care Association (AHCA), the leading association for long term and post-acute care. The program honors association members across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to improving quality of care for seniors and persons with disabilities.  The National Quality Award Program, which AHCA established in 1996, is based on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program.  The Baldridge program helps organizations in different business sectors improve and achieve performance excellence.

I was born and raised in Guthrie.  I wanted to move to Golden Age two years ago to be around other older people like me -- to socialize and participate in activities.  Golden Age offers activities that interest ALL of us, not just some of us, and the staff assist me to get to each activity.  All the residents here are like family – I like to visit with them, have conversation, and make new friends.  The owners are great and they treat the residents wonderfully.
