Hometown

Golden Age Nursing Facility is an Oklahoma family-owned and operated company.  Our roots run deep in the Guthrie community, with a proud legacy of exceptional care and service for six decades and across three generations. Golden Age Nursing Facility is a hometown name you can trust for skilled nursing and long- term care in Oklahoma.

Golden Age Nursing Facility is located in the heart of beautiful Downtown Guthrie and less than three miles from Mercy Hospital Logan County and Mercy Health System, the city’s local hospital and physician clinic.  The facility is also in close proximity to area hospitals in Edmond, Oklahoma City, Stillwater, and Perry.

Downtown Guthrie is the nation’s largest historic preservation district.  As the territorial capital city of Oklahoma, Guthrie boasts many beautiful tradition-rich sites including the Oklahoma Territorial Museum, Carnegie Library, Old State Capital Building, Masonic Lodge, Dominion House, Pollard Theatre, Victor Building, and several antique and unique shops throughout town.  There’s lots to see and do with festivals and events year-round, distinctive restaurants, local theatre, museums, community concerts, churches, city golf course and lake.  Golden Age Nursing Facility organizes periodic group outings for residents to explore the town together with staff supervision.

The Inter-Generational Pre-K is, by far, the most amazing program I have ever been involved in!  This is my 21st year as a preschool teacher, and my fourth year to teach in this type of setting.  The essence of our program is captured in a saying that is very close to my heart: “Children are the rainbow of life.  Grandchildren are the pot of gold.”  When my students make their presence known, the room lights up with life, love and energy.  Our pot of gold shines bright here at Golden Age and offers joy, life, love and hope for a new tomorrow.
