Silver – Achievement in Quality Award

Golden Age Nursing Facility was recognized as a 2019 recipient of the Silver – Achievement in Quality Award for its dedication to improving the lives of residents through quality care. The distinction is the second step in three progressive award levels through the National Quality Award Program, presented by the American Health Care Association (AHCA), the leading association for long term and post-acute care.

At the Silver Award level, applicants continue to learn and develop effective approaches that help improve performance and health care outcomes through a rigorous and thorough self-assessment of how their organization works, its effectiveness, and tools for improvement in their approaches.

The National Quality Award Program, which AHCA established in 1996, is based on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program.  The program honors association members across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to improving quality of care for seniors and persons with disabilities.  The Baldridge program helps organizations in different business sectors improve and achieve performance excellence.

The Silver level gives a clear pathway for recipients moving to the highest honor of recognition, the Gold – Excellence in Quality Award.

I like living here because the nurses and staff are so kind to all of us, and they seem to be sincerely interested in every resident’s needs.  When I came here two years ago, I was really impressed with the appearance and cleanliness of the facility.  Since then, they’ve done a wonderful job of updating the décor and everything without disruption to the residents.  This place has all that you would expect from a normal nursing home, plus a whole lot more that you would expect to see in a fine home.  The food is beyond my expectations and they change the menu regularly.  I highly recommend Golden Age.
